These are instructions specific to the Google Pixel 7 and may vary according to the type of Android device you have.
From the Home screen, slide up from the bottom of the screen to reveal the full apps list and then open Settings.
Tap Network and Internet.
Tap Hotspotting and tethering.
Tap Wi-Fi hotspot. | Turn the on/off slider to the on position in the Use Wi-Fi hotspot section.
The Hotspot name will be given a default name, you can either leave it as this or change it to something easier to remember.
The Security will default to WPA2/WPA3-Personal, we would advise leaving this default setting.
Tap on Hotspot password and set a password for the hotspot connection.
You can set the option to Turn off hotspot automatically if there are no devices connected, you may choose to set this to on.
There is also an option to Extend Compatibility. We would advise to keep this option off unless you have issues connecting to the hotspot. |
